Jaume Ortega Alcaide (born in Barcelona on 17 September 1992) wrote a diary during his first visit and stay at Vedanthangal during the summer of 2012. Laia Foundation has published his diary, written in Catalan, and entitled, “ VANAKKAM – A diary of an unforgettable stay in Vedanthangal�

The book is divided into four parts. The first part is the diary, explaining Jaume’s experiences in the South Indian village. The other three parts are appendices that provide information on: the characters that appear throughout the narrative, a collection of photos of Vedanthangal and surrounding areas, and finally, information on the Laia Foundation.

100% of the profits from the book sale will be donated to Laia Foundation.
